Ep. 115 - Noel Chambers, Director of Energy Efficiency and Electrification - Energy New England
Noel Chambers is the Director, Energy Efficiency and Electrification for Energy New England. In this role, he is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of energy efficiency, electrification, and electric vehicle programs for more than two dozen municipal light plants across the North East.
Prior to his role at Energy New England, he was a Supervisor of energy efficiency at Eversource Energy where he was responsible for strategic initiatives and workforce development activities which were leveraged to help meet the ever-increasing statewide energy efficiency goals.
Noel is currently serving as Chair of Northwest Energy Efficiency Council’s (NEEC) Certification Advisory Commission helping to identify and address opportunities to achieve NEEC’s goals. Noel is an active member of the North East Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and The Northeast Chapter of the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP). He has been certified by the Department of Energy as a Qualified Steam System Specialist, and by the Association of Energy Engineers as: Certified Energy Manager; Certified Demand Side Manager; and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional.
Noel earned his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He is also a Fellow of the Center of Collaborative Leadership at UMass Boston.
